The Culinary Book Club at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library will meet on Wednesday, December 19, in the Large Conference Room of the library. The topic of the month is “Gifts from the Kitchen.” The Culinary Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month, and different cooking genres are explored each month. Cooking enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels – from beginners to advanced — are invited to join. The program is free and open to the public. First Colony Branch Library Discusses “The Christmas Train”

A variety of genres are discussed at the First Colony Book Group, which normally meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month, beginning at 1:30 pm, in the Conference Room. The book club will meet on a special date in December because of the holidays. The discussion on December 19 will be on “The Christmas Train,” written by David Baldacci. New memberes are welcome. Whether you enjoy classic literature or a gritty crime novel, Fort Bend County Libraries invites you to share that love of reading with other book lovers at one of First Colony Branch Library’s book clubs. New members are welcome. Members of the Sugar Land Great Books Adult Discussion Group meet on the third Tuesday of the month to discuss classic literature. Monday Night Movie at the Library

Movie-goers will be treated to an animated family film starring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the whole Jim Henson crew. This movie is rated G.
