NewFirst National Bank Presents Chamber’s ‘State of Fulshear’ Breakfast

The Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance will host a “State of the City” breakfast, featuring a presentation from Fulshear Mayor Tommy Kuykendall. The address, which is the third in a three-part series highlighting Chamber stakeholder cities Rosenberg, Richmond, and Fulshear. Kuykendall, an engineer with CivlCorp, Inc., was elected Mayor of Fulshear in 2010. Fulshear is located in northwest Fort Bend County at the crossroads of FM 359 and FM 1093. The city limits stretch across approximately 10 square miles. The city was incorporated in 1977 and is a general-law city. It’s primarily a farm and ranch community with a growing commercial district. The Presenting Sponsor is NewFirst National Bank. At press time, Table Sponsors are Costello, Inc. and Cross Creek Ranch. Table and Corporate Supporter Sponsorships are available. Individual reservations for the luncheon are $20 for Chamber members and $30 for prospective members and guests. Fort Bend ISD to Host Annual “Opportunity Knocks” Vendor Expo

Fort Bend ISD will host its annual “Opportunity Knocks” Vendor Expo to invite area business representatives to learn how to do business with the school district. The Vendor Expo is designed to offer a platform for local companies that are interested in becoming FBISD vendors and teach those companies about the District’s procurement process. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with the FBISD Purchasing staff and receive information on various services and commodities that the District currently uses. Representatives from other FBISD departments (including Transportation, Technology, Community Relations, Design & Construction, Facilities & School Services, Child Nutrition, Curriculum and Athletics) will also be available to provide detailed information on the items and services procured by their specific department.
