Sugar Land Summer Camps 2014

Now is the time to find the perfect summer camp for your Sugar Land sweetie. Fort Bend is filled to the brim with camps with many different themes, from education to the arts. Your child will be entertained while learning new things.

Athletic and Performing Arts Center

Campers ages 3 and up can learn cheer, dance, gymnastics, theatre, and tumbling at one of the Athletic and Performing Arts Center locations. This summer will feature eight weeks of camp, with a new theme each week. Camps run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care options available for an additional charge.

Forever Dance

Children ages 3 to 18 are taught ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop dance styles by experienced instructors in a fun and nurturing atmosphere. Programs run June through July.

Fort Bend Music Center

Certified music instructors teach children ages 7 and up to play various instruments including piano, guitar, or drums. Camp runs June through July, for one week at a time for two and a half hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Inspiration Stage

Campers ages 4 to 19 who are looking for a camp that will end with a spectacular performance in Sugar Land Auditorium should join the Inspiration Stage for summer camp. Camps offered weekly to various age groups and include theatre performances such as Jungle Book, Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, Annie, and more.

Painting with a Twist

Sugar Land Art Center & Gallery

With morning and afternoon camps running Monday through Thursday, children are taught to paint, sculpt, and draw by seasoned art instructors with a show featuring their art at summer’s end. Camp runs June through August.

Casa Dei Bambini Montessori

Campers will have fun learning about all the seven continents in week-long camps throughout the summer. Casa Dei Bambini will also offer a hands-on camp where children will learn about planets in our solar system. Campers can also study the human body – learning about the nervous, respiratory, and skeletal systems. There will even be a visit from employees of the Health Museum.

Cornerstone Christian Academy

Four sessions are offered for campers ages prekindergarten through eighth grade. Themes include Pete the Cat, girls’ etiquette, magic tree house, speed and agility, fairy tales, Spanish, dinosaurs, camp princess, and more.

Children ages 5 through those in fifth grade are offered swim lessons, field trips, and various learning and exploration opportunities in an educational environment. Camp runs June through August.

The Goddard School

Summer camp programs blend fun, adventure, and learning that include music, stories, and activities. Topics include nature, arts and crafts, manners, computers, literature, sports, cooking, and more.

HMNS Sugar Land

Your child will have fun exploring a great selection of chemistry camps, space camps, robotics camps, social studies, and more. Camp runs from June through August.

Children are entertained with themes ranging from nature rocks to bugs and slugs. This 10-week camp will allow your camper to learn about the beauty of the great outdoors. Camp will run from June to August and is for children ages 5 through 12.

The school offers trips to museums, plays, and regular campus visits such as magic shows, petting zoo, and puppeteers to entertain children. Camp runs June through August in two-week increments.

The Walden School

Campers kindergarten through fifth grade will enjoy summer camp from June through August. This adventurous and educational camp will include weekly field trips, swim lessons, and reading and math labs.

Young Chef’s Academy

Children ages 4 to 14 will learn to cook different types of food while also being provided culinary challenges to explore throughout the summer. Camp runs from June through August.

Kids ages 3 to 12 can participate in camps that teach core values, conflict resolution, and leadership skills while engaging in activities such as creating art, exploring science, and understanding new cultures. Swim lessons are also available.

Youth ages 5 to 13 are invited to attend an exciting 11-week summer camp program. Campers will go on weekly field trips and engage in activities including crafts and themed activities.

Iron Cross Gymnastics

The Little Gym

The Little Gym camps combine physical activity and games with arts, crafts, and special events. Each week will feature a new theme, and each day campers will go on a special camp quest. Enjoy sessions for several weeks, a single week, or just a day at a time.
