Why are you closing Sugar Land Magazine?

We have loved serving the Sugar Land community for almost 10 years! We have seen readership grow exponentially in the recent issues, but we have not sustained the page growth in advertisers to support our  grand editorial vision for Sugar Land Magazine. Our other community magazines are growing phenomenally well, so we have made the decision to expand our offerings in Katy and Cy-Fair where our major growth has been.


Is your company downsizing?

No. The change did not result in anyone getting terminated. Every person on our team is vital to the success of the company, which includes our sister publications, Katy Magazine and Cy-Fair Magazine, and our newcomer and relocation guides. The extra issues will be added to our Katy Magazine and eventually, Cy-Fair Magazine, so we will still need everyone on our staff.


Will you still keep up?

The website will remain active through the publication distribution dates (Oct. 15 – Dec. 31), after that, we don’t foresee continuing to update it as frequently, although we will most likely leave everything up for quite some time.


Can I still submit my sweeties and pet photos?

Through the publication dates (Oct. 15 – Dec. 31) we will feature select sweeties and pets on our social media pages, but will have no future print presence in Sugar Land after our fall 2014 issue.


Can I get photos Sugar Land Magazine took of us?

Yes, if you request them by Dec. 31, 2014, we can email you some of the photos from your Sugar Land Magazine photo shoot for personal use only. Images will have the Sugar Land Magazine logo.


Will I still be able to get back issues?

The website, will remain live so that all back issues, features, and stories will be available and enrich the future Sugar Landers as we’ve been able to record features of historic value during the past 10 years.
