Choose Your Preference on 2013-2014 Proposed FBISD School Calendars
Fort Bend ISD now develops the school calendar two years in advance to facilitate planning for the community and staff. The Calendar Committee began working on calendar options in September for the 2013-2014 school calendar and has reached consensus on three draft calendars for review.
Please view the calendar development process presentation and the three draft calendars. Select your preference for one of the calendars and provide any comments. To access the draft calendars, go to www.fortbendisd.com and look under “Quick Links” and click on “2013-2014 Proposed Calendars.” You may also copy and paste the following link into your browser to view the draft calendars at: http://www.fortbendisd.com/calendar2014/.
The Texas Legislature has mandated that all school districts start no earlier than the fourth Monday in August ― no exceptions, no waivers. Therefore, the first day of school for the 2013-2014 school year will be August 26, 2013.
The calendar preferences will be taken on this webpage until January 6, 2012.
