WEEKLY CHILDREN'S PROGRAM SCHEDULE AT

FIRST COLONY BRANCH LIBRARY

Fort Bend County Libraries - First Colony Branch, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, presents a variety of free children's programs -- Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, Kinder Korner, After-School Break, and Teen Programs -- every month. These programs are free and open to the public.

Mother Goose Time, which takes place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., provides caregiver/infant activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers, from age 1 month to 12 months.

Toddler Time -- Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. -- offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age.

Pre-school children will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

Pajama Night Story Time -- the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. -- gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the daytime. The September 10 program will be 'Too Cool for School'.

Kinder Korner, -- a time for kindergartners to enjoy stories, movies, crafts and other activities -- takes place on the 2nd Thursday of the month, at 4 p.m.

The After-School Breaks-- crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children -- take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, beginning at 4 p.m. The Teen Programs are designed to give youth in grades 6-8 an opportunity to participate in the branch's Youth Advisory Council, which provides input to staff from the point of view of young patrons.
