WEEKLY CHILDREN'S PROGRAM SCHEDULE AT
FIRST COLONY BRANCH LIBRARY
Fort Bend County Libraries - First Colony Branch, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, presents a variety of free children's programs -- Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, Kinder Korner, After-School Break, and Teen Programs -- every month. These programs are free and open to the public.
Mother Goose Time, which takes place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., provides caregiver/infant activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers, from age 1 month to 12 months.
Toddler Time -- Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. -- offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age.
Pre-school children will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
Pajama Night Story Time -- the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. -- gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the daytime. The September 10 program will be 'Too Cool for School'.
Kinder Korner, -- a time for kindergartners to enjoy stories, movies, crafts and other activities -- takes place on the 2nd Thursday of the month, at 4 p.m.
The After-School Breaks-- crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children -- take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, beginning at 4 p.m. The Teen Programs are designed to give youth in grades 6-8 an opportunity to participate in the branch's Youth Advisory Council, which provides input to staff from the point of view of young patrons. ADULT LIBRARY PROGRAMS
3rd Tuesday of every month Monthly Book Club Missouri City Library Conference Room 1530 Texas Parkway 7 pm Missouri City book lovers will now have the opportunity to meet with other readers who share the same love for literature, for an evening of lively discussion on a wide variety of popular books, from contemporary bestsellers to tried-and-true classics.
