Hello Again Sugar Land!
Welcome to the second issue of Sugar Land Magazine! If the response is anything like the first, Im sure to hear from a lot of you. Thank you for all the e-mails, phone calls and letters letting us know how much you
enjoyed our unique and informative magazine. One woman I met who had just read the premier issue summed it up: Finally, a magazine with articles I want to read! Im holding on to this! The holidays have come and gone
and weve embarked on a new year full of interesting things to do and see. Our writers, photographers and advertisers have provided plenty for you to enjoy in this issue, putting you in touch with the resources and
information you need as an involved resident of the Sugar Land area.
If youre the parent of a preschooler, a new year brings with it new and big decisions. The school year isnt even close to being over but its time for many moms and dads to decide where to send their child to preschool
in the fall. Many schools have registration dates coming up. Or, if you are a working parent, you may be in need of a high-quality childcare center right now. We have put together a comprehensive list of area preschools,
childcare centers and Mothers Day Out programs to aid in your search. Browse the checklist for choosing a school and advice from teachers and preschool directors. And if youre feeling a little out of shape after the
recent holidays, dont despair. We have a great story on ways you can find time to get fit and then stay fit even if you are a busy parent with small children. Its advice you can use all year with a listing of area
fitness resources and some words to live by from none other than Yao Mings personal trainer. Also, find out how that trainer to the Rockets giant got his job. New to the area or looking to move close by?
Check out our rundown of Sugar Lands hottest neighborhoods. See if your subdivision is on the list or find out why your friends moved to that cool new development across town. Weve got lots of other exciting snippets
and tidbits about Sugar Land and its great people, places and organizations. See if your sweetie is featured in Sugar Land Sweeties, and check out our comprehensive events calendar for activities for your family this
season. Dont miss out on all the great things the Sugar Land area has to offer!
See you out and about in Sugar Land!
